LoginRamadan is the most significant month of the year for Muslims, for it brings Allah's blessings upon them. Observing the holy month of Ramadan brings Muslims closer to their creator. They also conform to the Ramadan rules because the guidelines help them celebrate the holy month in oneness. The Islamic community considers Ramadan a sacred festival of prayers and fasting, which liberate them from their past sins. Additionally, they are expected to observe Ramadan rules for fasting, relationships , food, and other issues. The Islamic community strictly observes rules that guide their behaviour during Ramadan. They ought to eat, pray, and dress in a certain way, among other things. No one feels imprisoned by the rules because there are penalties for breaking some rules and exemptions for others. The Islam religion links dating to the Western culture, which allows premarital sexual interactions. Hence, it prohibits dating but does not condemn love.
How religious is your husband, and are you very religious yourself OP? Have you converted? How have your families reacted to it? How religious is he? Do you fast during Ramadan?
For Muslims who practice their faith with sincerity and understanding, Ramadan is a month full of beautiful potential. While our stomachs might feel empty, our hunger for closeness to our Creator is fulfilled, and our thirst for greater taqwa is quenched. To non-Muslims, on the other hand, Ramadan often seems like nothing but a month of harsh deprivation. Most non-Muslims have never fasted to the extent required of Muslims during Ramadan, so they can relate neither to the challenges, nor to the sense of heightened God-consciousness and serenity. For Christian or Jewish women who are married to Muslim men, the month can be particularly challenging.
Today, inter-religious marriage is becoming an acceptable thing with more men and women in their 20s and above making marital commitments to spouses from other religions. This can be attributed to western education and exposure, which creates the opportunity for young men and women to develop friendships and share their faiths, cultures and values in the true spirit of diversity and inclusion. Today, more Christians and Muslims live together in love and harmony. However, the reality of this marriage may still make others looking to take the bold step uncomfortable when considering the challenges of managing the dynamics of an inter-faith marriage. However, if you are not accustomed to fasting in your faith and you are now married to a devoted Muslim, it can be tricky and uncomfortable to watch your spouse fast for hours while you eat in his presence.
