You will be asked to complete an online pre-event questionnaire and attend two Zoom speed dating events one week apart. The events will last minutes. During the Zoom event you will have a brief date with up to 8 other participants making ratings of your interaction partners, self, and conversations. After the fist Zoom event, you will then have the option to opt into a second date with any of your interaction partners for the second event the following week. A unique experiment saw participants meet each other for short, unconstrained interactions before rating each other. Previous studies have asked participants to rate faces on computer screens. Researchers who conducted the speed dating study found people with similar faces rated each other more highly for attractiveness.
