Separation is a legally recognized parting of spouses or the agreed end of cohabitation when the husband or wife leaves the marital home. It can be cited as the grounds for divorce after spouses have been separated for a period of one year. Your separation agreement is critical though because if the timing of the relationship comes into question during your divorce your relationship may be considered as an affair or adultery.

If you want to know what to expect from dating a divorcee, then work out she is over her ex, and is ready for a new relationship. Generally, dating someone while they are still divorcing is not recommended. This is because they need space to grieve the end of the marriage and to learn from the experience. There is more to you than being a shoulder to cry on! A signed decree absolute and money settled does not, necessarily mean it is the right time to date a divorced woman either.
