He definitely used to be touch starved, but then he met you and decided cuddling was the best form of human intimacy to ever exist. That way he can read his books while wrapping his arms around you.

That would be hard enough for a ninja significant other to understand, let alone a civilian significant other. There was no way he was going to date a civilian just to listen to them complain that he was away for too long or taking too many missions or always to busy or coming inches from death on a daily basis. You always had a smile on your face and were always asking him about his latest mission, showing your full interest.

Like how they feel and what they would plan? You just got off the phone with your doting mother, who you both love tremendously, but who was also really good at stressing you the fuck out. He heard nothing she said, but he heard you, and he assumes she called in need of your assistance for her online endeavors, with an added twist of unknowingly judging you as you updated her on your life. You exhale and chuckle embarrassingly simultaneously.
