LoginThe project appeared organically, out of the need of small rural communities to find themselves and connect with the perpetual changes and challenges faced by the current urbanized world. This need of connection also entailed a search for a certain balance between the engagement in the big debates of the world and what allows these often untouched communities, to preserve their cultural essence, constituted by their multi-ethnic background typical to the geographical area they subscribe to, that has been kept intact, somehow, by the last « keepers » living in these areas. The residencies represent an annual project aiming to reach young professionals coming from various areas of artistic interdisciplinary research, but also young students interested in broadening their practices in all areas of humanities and arts e. The young professionals taking part yearly in the programme are being evaluated and selected on the basis of a research proposal, sent in an electronic online format. One of the main conditions for being selected to take part in the programme, apart from the eligibility conditions, is the fact that none of the candidates can compete for a residency two years in a row.
