A woman has claimed that female medics in Nigeria are "hardly ever desired for who they are" as most men want them just because of their profession. Chris Uzoh, a Nigerian medical doctor, has been banned from practising in the UK for one year after he was accused of pestering his unnamed patient with love messages. According to NAN, Uzoh was said to have sent a text message to his patient, 30, after he finished an appointment with her where she complained to him of an abdominal pain. He had obtained her number from her medical records and for six weeks tried to get her on a date.
